Práce se zabývá maloobchodem na území České republiky a města Brna. V úvodní části je nastíněn vývoj maloobchodu v České republice od poloviny 20. století po současnost. Hlavní část práce je věnována maloobchodní síti v Brně, tak jak byla zachycena v Průzkumech maloobchodní sítě na území města Brna v letech 1997, 2000, 2003 a 2006. The thesis explores retail trade in the area of the Czech Republic and the City of Brno. In the introductory part, the development of retail trade in the Czech Republic is outlined from the middle of the 20th century up to the present.
