Position of Christian Minorities in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problémy a postaveným křesťanských minoritních skupin na území států Ázerbájdžán, Turkmenistán a Uzbekistán. Cílem této práce je analyzovat postavení těchto křesťanských menšin ve státech Centrální Asie, a to hlavně ve vztahu s majoritním náboženstvím v této oblasti, kterým je islám. Teoretická část této práce představí hlavní předmět výzkumu, klíčové pojmy, které napomohou k porozumění práce, metodologii, cíle práce a také výzkumné otázky, kterými se bude tato práce zabývat. Empirická část této práce se bude zabývat historickým vývojem daných zemí a jak tento historický vývoj ovlivnil a stále ovlivňuje současnou situaci v těchto zemích. Důležitým bodem, který je zmíněn, jsou data osamostatnění těchto států a jejich důležitost v rozvoji. Dále se práce zabývá postavením křesťanských minorit v ekonomickém, politickém, právním a edukačním systému těchto zemí a také problémy, které v těchto sférách často nastávají. Posledním bodem je analýza celkové křesťanské spolupráce v tomto regionu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the problems of Christian minority groups and their position in society in the states of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the position of these minorities in Central Asia and their relation with the majority religion in this area, which is Islam. The theoretical part of this work deals with the main subject of research, key concepts that help to understand the issues, methodology, objectives of the work and also the main research questions. The empirical part of this thesis will deal with the historical development of the countries and also how this historical development influenced and still affects the current situation in these countries. An important point that is discussed is the dates when the countries gained their independence and the importance of this event to their further development. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the position of Christian minorities in the economic, political, legal and educational systems of these countries, as well as the issues that often occur in these systems. The last point will be the analysis of the overall Christian cooperation in this region.
