Romany Children and Integration

Abstract:

Má diplomová práce se zabývá romským etnikem a integrací romských dětí do běžných škol. V teoretické části přiblížím původ a historii Romů, kulturu, umění, ale i negativa spojená s Romy, dále vzdělávání Romů nejen v ČR, ale také v zahraničí. Zmíním se o integraci v zahraničí a u nás. V praktické části použiji dva typy dotazníků. Prvním zjišťuji vztah žáků 8. a 9. tříd základní školy ke svým romským spolužákům. Druhý dotazník je určen pro učitele základních a středních škol. Tady zjišťuji, jaký je jejich názor na integraci romských dětí do běžných škol.

Abstract:

My thesis deals with the Roma ethnic group and the integration of Roma children into mainstream schools. In theoretical part I review the origins and history of Roma, their culture, art as well as negative aspects associated with the Roma. I also focus on their education not only in the Czech Republic. I mention their integration abroad and in the Czech too. In the practical part I use two types of surveys. In the first one I find the relationship of students from 8th and 9th class of primary school to their classmates. The second one is used for teachers of primary and secondary schools. I find out their opinions about the integration of Roma children into mainstream scholls.
