The Attitudes toward Euthanasia and Dying from the Viewpoint of the Early Middle-Aged and the Elderly

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce ,,Postoje k eutanazii a umírání z pohledu osob raného stáří a středního věku" se zabývá, stále neutuchajícím tématem, eutanazie a umírání z pohledu odlišného věku. Hlavním cílem práce bylo srovnat postoje respondentů ve vztahu k uzákonění eutanazie v ČR. Teoretická část je zaměřena na problematiku eutanazie, paliativní péče a historii umírání. Důraz je kladen na mapování postojů k tématu v období raného stáří a středního věku. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky, které byly provedeny kvantitativním způsobem pomocí dotazníkovým šetřením ve Zlínském kraji.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis ,,Attitudes toward euthanasia and dying from the viewpoint of early middle age and old age " deals with still unrelenting theme of euthanasia and dying from the perspective of a different age. The main aim of this thesis was to determine the attitude of respondents to the enactment of the legalization of euthanasia in the country. The theo-retical part is focused on the issue of euthanasia, palliative care and a history of dying. The emphasis is placed on surveying attitudes on the topic in the early middle age and old age. The practical part contains results whose were carried out by quantitative way with the using questionnaires in the Zlin region.
