Resocialization of people with acquired physical handicap

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá resocializací osob se získaným tělesným handicapem následkem úrazu míchy v dospělosti. V teoretické části je definováno tělesné postižení a následně i míšní léze a její následky promítající se v životě jedince po stránce biologické, psychologické i sociální. Jako možný způsob pro dosažení úspěšné resocializace je popsán koncept ucelené rehabilitace. Jednotlivé složky rehabilitace (léčebná, sociální, pedagogická a pracovní) se zaměřují přímo na jedince s míšní lézí. Pro zajištění komplexní péče nabízí autor využití způsobu práce dle Case-managementu. Dále jsou popsány Disability studies, jež nabízejí nový pohled na problematiku postižení. Na základě analýzy rozhovorů byla popsána životní situace osob s míšní lézí po návratu z rehabilitačního ústavu. Dále změny, se kterými se jedinci potýkali v souvislosti s úrazem např. změny v jejich denním rytmu, tělesném schématu, či v sociální síti. Výsledky poukázaly na nedostačující péči v oblasti sociální, pedagogické a pracovní rehabilitace, která je standardně poskytována.

Abstract:

The work deals with the resocialization of persons with acquired physical disabilities as a reset of spinal cord injury in adulthood. In the theoretical part, disability and spinal injuries are defined and its consequences, reflected in the live sof individuals in terms of biological, psychological and social. As a possible way to achieve a successful resocialization the koncept of comprehensive rehabilitation is defined. The individual components of rehabilitation (medical, social, educational and vocational) are focused directly on people with spinal injuries. The author offers the use of the method of work by Case-management to provide comprehensive care. Another part describes the Disability studies, which offer a new perspective on the issue of disability. Based on the analysis of the interview, the life situation of people with spinal lesions after returning from a rehabilitation institution is defined. In addition, changes which individuals face in connection with accident, f.e. changes in their circadian rhythm, the physical schema or social network. The results highlighted the inadequate care in fields of social, educational and vocational rehabilitation, that is normally provided.
