Abstract:

Artiushenko, Y. Fundamentální analýza amerického farmaceutického sektoru. Diplomová práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2024. Diplomová práce provádí fundamentální analýzu pěti významných amerických farmaceutických společností – Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly and Co, AbbVie Inc, Merck & Co Inc a Pfizer Inc – s cílem určit jejich vnitřní hodnotu a vypracovat investiční doporučení. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí a začíná teoretickým rámcem fundamentální analýzy a oceňování. Druhá část poskytuje důkladnou analýzu farmaceutického odvětví v USA a identifikuje klíčové faktory růstu, jakož i strategický význam patentů a dopad COVID-19 na toto odvětví. Třetí a nejobsáhlejší část aplikuje tyto teoretické poznatky na provedení ocenění vybraných společností s využitím kombinace diskutovaných metod oceňování. Tato analýza zahrnuje prognózu výnosů společností na základě doby trvání patentů a tržních podmínek a v závěru obsahuje investiční doporučení. Zjištění nabízejí strategické investiční pohledy na post-pandemickou situaci ve farmaceutickém sektoru.

Artiushenko, Y. Fundamental analysis of the US pharmaceutical sector. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2024. This diploma thesis conducts a fundamental analysis of five major US pharmaceutical companies – Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly and Co, AbbVie Inc, Merck & Co Inc, and Pfizer Inc – to determine their intrinsic values and develop investment recommendations. Structured into three parts, the thesis begins with a theoretical framework of fundamental analysis and valuation. The second part provides a tho-rough analysis of the pharmaceutical sector in US, identifying key drivers, as well as the strategic importance of patents and the impact of COVID-19 on the sector. The third and most comprehensive part applies these theoretical insights to per-form valuations of the selected companies, using a blend of the discussed valuation methods. This analysis includes forecasting company revenues based on patent durations and market conditions, concluding with tailored investment recommendations. The findings offer strategic investment insights into the pharmaceutical sector's post-pandemic landscape.
