Experience with writing ComeniaScript in children with learning disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou výuky psaní písmem Comenia Script u žáků s grafomotorickými obtížemi. Teoretická část vychází z analýzy odborné literatury. Zabývá se problematikou školní zralosti a teorii specifických poruch učení. V teoretické části se dále věnujeme přístupům k edukaci žáků v základním vzdělávání. Ve třetí části nabízíme informace o písmu Comenia Script. Na teoretickou část navazuje část výzkumná. V kvalitativním výzkumu byl metodou dlouhodobého pozorování zkoumán vývoj psaní u čtyř žáků, u kterých se projevovaly grafomotorické obtíže, již na začátku školní docházky. Zkoumali jsme, osvědčilo-li se použít písmo Comenia Script při výuce psaní u těchto žáků. Výzkum probíhal po dobu tří let. Zajímal nás i názor rodičů těchto žáků na výuku psaní písmem Comenia Script.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with problems of teaching writing letters Comenia Script for pupils with graphomotor disorder. The theoretical part is based on the analysis of scientific literature. It deals with issues of school readiness and the theory of specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part also deals with approaches to education of pupils in primary education. In the third section we offer information about Comenia Script font. The theoretical part is followed by a research. With the use of qualitative research it was studied development of writing in the case of four pupils and this all was done by the means of long-term observation methodology. All these pupils exhibited graphomotor difficulties from the beginning of primary education. We researched applicability of the font Comenia Script by teaching writing these students. The research was conducted for three years. We were interested also in the teaching writing Comenia Script from the view of the parents of pupils.
