Financial stability of the company in condition of the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá finanční analýzou a vyhodnocením finančního zdraví společnosti Železářství Albrecht v rozmezí let 2016 až 2020. Cílem této práce je na základě podnikových finančních výkazů určit, zda měla pandemie Covid-19 vliv na finanční stabilitu vybraného podniku či nikoliv. V teoretické části se autor zabývá představením jednotlivých finančních ukazatelů a metod finanční analýzy, kterými jsou například analýza absolutních dat, rozdílové a poměrové ukazatele či bonitní a bankrotní modely. V praktické části bakalářské práce je nejprve podnik představen. Následně jsou zde na základě účetních výkazů podniku uvedeny výpočty metod finanční analýzy, které určují finanční stabilitu, situaci a výkonnost zkoumaného podniku. Závěry z této části jsou využity k návrhu doporučení na zlepšení pro zajištění pozitivního vývoje společnosti v budoucnu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with a financial analysis and evaluation of financial health of chosen company Železářství Albrecht between years 2016 and 2020. Based on the company's financial statements, the objective of this thesis is to determine, whether the global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 had an impact on the financial stability of the selected company or not. In the theoretical part the author deals with the presentation of profit and loss statement and methods of financial analysis, such as vertical and horizontal analysis, differential and ratio indicators or bankruptcy and financial standing models. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis the enterprise is first introduced. Subsequently, there are on the basis of the company's financial statements, the calculations of the financial analysis. Those determine the financial stability and performance of the selected enterprise. The conclusions from practical part are used to propose recommendations for improvement to ensure a positive development of the company in the future.
