Analysis of tourism in Namibia

Abstract:

Tato práce se věnuje analýze cestovního ruchu v Namibii. Cílem práce je analyzovat příjezdový cestovní ruch v daném období a následně interpretovat trendy a změny, které byly zjištěny. Teoretická část se zabývá charakteristikou základních pojmů v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Jedná se především o lokalizační, selektivní a realizační faktory, které jsou klíčové pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu. Empirická část se věnuje aplikaci základních pojmů na Namibii. Důraz je kladen na formy a druhy cestovního ruchu, které se v Namibii vyskytují a stručnou charakteristiku hlavních jak přírodních, tak kulturně-historických atraktivit, které Namibie turistům nabízí. Poslední část této práce se věnuje příjezdovému cestovnímu ruchu v letech 2005?2014, kde jsou užita dostupná statistická data s následnou interpretací zjištěných trendů.

Abstract:

This thesis is devoted to the analysis of tourism in Namibia. The goal is to analyse inbound tourism in the period and then interpret trends and changes that have been identified. The theoretical part deals with characteristic of basic concepts regarding tourism. These are mainly localization, selective and realization factors that are crucial for the development of tourism. The empirical part deals with the application of basic concepts to Namibia. Emphasis is put on both the forms and types of tourism, which are found in Namibia and brief descriptions of the main natural and cultural ? historical attractions that Namibia offers to tourists. The last section of this work is description, this part is devoted to the analysis of inbound tourism in the years from 2005?2014 using available statistical data and subsequent interpretation of the trends.
