Strengthening Parental Competencies in Social Activation Service for Families with Children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o posilování rodičovských kompetencí prostřednictvím sociálních pracovníků v sociálně aktivizační službě pro rodiny s dětmi. Práce je teoreticko-aplikační. Cílem teoretické části je konceptualizovat základní pojmy tématu. Cílem aplikační části je analýza a komparace situace rodin na konci spolupráce s ohledem na výchozí situaci rodiny. Konkrétně přiblížím pracovně výchovnou činnost s dospělými, kterou řadíme mezi výchovné, vzdělávací a aktivizační činnosti. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na vymezení pojmu rodina jako celku, objasňuji pojem rodičovských kompetencí, představuji sociálně aktivizační službu pro rodiny s dětmi a zmiňuji dva přístupy sociální práce, které se často při přímé práci s klienty využívají. V aplikační části věnuji pozornost reálným kazuistikám, které mi byly podkladem pro analyzování a komparaci situace rodiny na konci spolupráce s ohledem na výchozí situaci rodiny. Kritériem pro výběr kazuistik byl plán spolupráce zaměřený na posílení rodičovských kompetencí, celková délka spolupráce sociálního pracovníka s rodinou delší než jeden rok a aktivní spolupráce klienta po celou dobu trvání spolupráce. Analýzou jsem došla k závěru, že se sociálním pracovníkům ze sociálně aktivizační služby pro rodiny s dětmi během výkonu své práce velmi osvědčil úkolově orientovaný přístup při posilování rodičovských kompetencí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with strengthening of parental competences through social workers in the social activation service for families with children. The work is theoretical with practical application. The aim of the theoretical part is to conceptualize the basic terms of the topic. The aim of the applicational part is to analyze and compare the situation of families at the end of cooperation with respect to the initial situation of the family. Namely, I will describe work and educational activities with adults, which are ranked to educational, pedagogical and activation activities. In the theoretical part I focus on the definition of the term "family" as an unit, clarify the concept of parental competences, introduce social activation service for families with children and mention two approaches of social work, which are often used in direct work with clients. In the application part I pay attention to real case reports, which were the basis for analyzing and comparing the situation of the family at the end of cooperation with regard to the initial situation of the family. Criteria for the selection of case reports were a cooperation plan aimed at strengthening parental competences, the total length of interaction of a social worker with a family longer than one year and active cooperation of the client for whole time. The analysis showes that the social workers from the social activating service for families with children proved to be very successful in the task-oriented approach in strengthening parental competences.
