The importance of expressive therapies for the development of people with intellectual disabilities

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce je zjistit, jak ovlivňuje kvalitu života osob s mentálním postižením užívání expresivních terapií. V teoretické části mé práce se zabývám vysvětlením pojmu mentální retardace včetně její klasifikace, etiologie a popisu psychických zvláštností a dovedností důležitých vzhledem k užívání terapií. V praktické části uvádím kazuistiky osob s různými stupni mentálního postižení, jejichž součástí je i anamnéza terapeutické činnosti. Pro tento výzkum jsem použila metody anamnestického dotazníku a rozhovoru.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to find out how the use of expressive therapies affects the quality of life of people with mental disabilities. In the theoretical part of my work, I deal with the explanation of the concept of mental retardation, including its classification, etiology and the description of psychological peculiarities and skills important in relation to the use of therapies. In the practical part, I present case studies of people with various degrees of mental disability, which also include an anamnesis of therapeutic activity. For this research, I used the methods of anamnestic questionnaire and interview.
