Analysis of factors leading to change in the reproductive behavior of the generation of millennials when establishing a family

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je najít a analyzovat faktory a motivy, které vedou a mají vliv na reprodukční chování mladé generace mileniálů, která založení ro-diny a početí prvního potomka odsouvá do vyššího věku v porovnání s generací předchozí. Cílem je sumarizace těchto faktorů a důležitých poznatků a následně z výstupu formulovat doporučení a změny v systému, především v oblasti ro-dinné a bytové politiky státu. V první části jsou sumarizovány poznatky literární rešerše z oblasti rodiny a jejího vývoje v průběhu časů společně s teoriemi změn v reprodukčním chování, rodinná politika, charakteristika generace mile-niálů a socio-ekonomické a psychologické faktory. Následně je představena me-todika výzkumu, kdy pro zajištění dat a výsledků bylo využito kvantitativní me-tody pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Navazuje kapitola popisující výsledky vý-zkumu, jejich analýza a interpretace. V závěru práce je shrnutí nejdůležitějších výstupů a popis navrhovaných doporučení v oblasti politiky státu.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find and analyze the factors and motives that lead and influence the reproductive behavior of the young generation of millennials, which postpones the establishment of the family and the conception of the first offspring to a higher age compared to the previous generation. The aim is to summarize these factors and important findings and then formulate recommendations and changes in the system from the output, especially in the area of family and housing policy of the state. The first part summarizes the findings of literary research in the field of family and its development over time, along with theories of changes in reproductive behavior, family policy, characteristics of the generation of millennials and socio-economic and psychological factors. Subsequently, the research methodology is presented, where a quantitative method was used to provide data and results using a questionnaire survey. A chapter describing the research results, their analysis and interpretation follows. At the end of the work is a summary of the most important outputs and a description of the proposed recommendations in the field of state policy.
