Magnetic resonance imaging of the knee joint

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je magnetická rezonance kolenního kloubu. Tato bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část zahrnuje anatomii kolenního kloubu, nejčastější patologie, které se zobrazují na magnetické rezonanci a základní informace o magnetické rezonanci. Praktická část je věnována výzkumnému šetření pomocí tištěných dotazníků. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit nejčastější důvod vyšetření kolenního kloubu a dostupnost magnetické rezonance v Ústeckém kraji. V rámci prvního cíle jsme zjišťovali pohlaví, věk a zkušenosti s tímto vyšetřením. Druhý cíl měl za úkol zjistit dostupnost magnetické rezonance v Ústeckém kraji. V rámci tohoto cíle jsme zjišťovali dojezdovou vzdálenost, objednávací dobu a způsob dopravy na vyšetření. K daným cílům byli vytyčeny hypotézy. Hypotéza pro první cíl byla, že vyšetření se více zúčastňují muži a nejčastějším důvodem vyšetření je úraz. Tato hypotéza byla z části vyvrácena, a to z důvodu většího počtu vyšetření žen. Druhá část hypotézy se nám potvrdila: nejvíce vyšetření je indikováno z důvodu úrazu. Hypotéza pro druhý cíl byla, že nejčastější doba od objednání je jeden měsíc. Tato hypotéza byla vyvrácena. Nejčastější objednávací doba je do 14 dní.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is magnetic resonance imaging of the knee joint. This bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part includes the anatomy of the knee joint, the most common pathologies visualized by magnetic resonance imaging, and basic information about magnetic resonance imaging. The practical part is dedicated to a research investigation using printed questionnaires. The aim of the research investigation was to determine the most common reason for knee joint examination and the availability of magnetic resonance imaging in the Ústí nad Labem Region. Within the first aim, we investigated gender, age, and experience with this examination. The second aim aimed to determine the availability of magnetic resonance imaging in the Ústí nad Labem Region. Within this aim, we examined travel distance, appointment time, and mode of transportation for the examination. Hypotheses were formulated for the given aims. The hypothesis for the first aim was that men participate more in the examination and the most common reason for examination is injury. This hypothesis was partially disproven due to the higher number of examinations of women. However, the second part of the hypothesis was confirmed: the majority of examinations are indicated due to injury. The hypothesis for the second aim was that the most common time from scheduling is one month. This hypothesis was disproven. The most common appointment time is within 14 days.
