Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „User-centered indexing: Indexace zaměřená primárně na uživatele“ pojednává o současných přístupech k věcnému pořádání informací V první části popisuje tradiční přístup k indexaci, takzvanou indexaci zaměřenou na dokument a srovnává ji s novými přístupy – indexací zaměřenou na uživatele a indexací zaměřenou na domény. Ve druhé části práce seznamuje čtenáře s výsledky praktického šetření pomocí rozhovorů ve fakultních knihovnách Masarykovy univerzity a dotazníkového šetření v krajských knihovnách. Cílem výzkumu bylo prozkoumat situaci panující v knihovnách na poli metodiky indexace.

Abstract:

The thesis “User-centered indexing: Indexing focused primarily on users” discusses contemporary approaches to indexing. Its first part describes conventional document-centered approach and compares it with some new approaches – user-centered indexing and domain-centered indexing. The second part informs readers with the results of a qualitative and quantitative surveys among the indexers of faculty libraries of Masaryk University and of Czech regional libraries. The goal of the survey was to map the situation in the field of indexing in these libraries.
