Prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku prevence praní špinavých peněz a financování terorismu jako klíčových hrozeb pro finanční stabilitu a bezpečnost globálního ekonomického systému. Cílem práce je analyzovat a zhodnotit existující metody, instituce a nástroje prevence těchto nelegitimních finančních aktivit. Práce je strukturována do několika hlavních částí. Nejprve je proveden přehled základních pojmů a úvod do problematiky. Následně jsou analyzovány vybrané stávající mezinárodní a národní právní rámce a normy týkající se této problematiky. V závěrečné části práce jsou formulovány hrozby, ale i benefity technologického pokroku v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing as key threats to the financial stability and security of the global economic system. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and evaluate the existing methods, institutions, and instruments for the prevention of these illegitimate financial activities. The thesis is structured in several main parts. First, an overview of the basic concepts and an introduction to the subject is made. Subsequently, existing international and national legal frameworks and standards related to this issue are analyzed. The final part of the thesis formulates the threats as well as the benefits of technological progress in this area of the financial market.
