Abstract:

Práce hledá odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku, která zní: V čem se shodují a v čem se liší postoje sociálních pracovníků a novinářů k postupům, které vedou k publikování o životě seniorů? V teoretické části práce byla pozornost věnována tématům, mezi které patří stáří a senior, definování postoje a jeho hlavních složek, představení obrazu seniora v médiích, tématům prezentovaným v médiích, pozornost byla dále věnována profesím sociálního pracovníka a novináře, etickým kodexům, komunikaci se seniory a v neposlední řadě také žurnalistickým postupům. Zvolena byla kvalitativní výzkumná strategie, které odpovídá i použití metody polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. V práci byla využita sekundární analýza dat z rozhovorů se sociálními pracovníky a byly přidány nové rozhovory s novináři, kteří disponují zkušenostmi z mediálního publikování zachycujícího život seniorů. Aby bylo možné odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku, použila jsem čtyři dílčí, které byly zaměřené na kognitivní, behaviorální a emocionální dimenze postojů a na etické aspekty, vážící se na novinářské postupy. Práce přinesla mnohá zjištění, která poukazují na mnohé shody mezi sociálními pracovníky a novináři, například na jejich vzájemnou snahu publikovat více příspěvků zaměřujících se na aktivní prožívání stáří, shodovaly se také na mnohých situacích, které nejsou vhodné publikovat, či se shodli na nutnosti domluvy mezi sociálním pracovníkem a novinářem, týkající se tvorby mediálních příspěvků. Odlišnosti byly nalezeny v pohledu na poskytování autorizace, používání terminologie vážící se k tomuto tématu, či na přímé oslovování seniorů. Na základě výzkumných zjištění vznikl soubor rad a doporučení, určený jak pro sociální pracovníky, tak pro novináře, který má posloužit ke zkvalitnění vzájemné spolupráce.

Abstract:

This Master´s degree thesis looks for an answer to the main research question which is: “Where is the correspondence and the difference between the comparison of attitudes of social workers and journalists to practices leading to the publication about life of seniors? Theoretical part of this thesis is focused on topics such as the old age and the senior, definition of the attitude and it´s main parts, introduction of the way, how is the senior being reflected by media, topics being presented by the media. Further attention was payed to the profession of social worker and journalist, ethical codes, communication with seniors and at last but not the least to the methods of journalism. The chosen strategy was the Quantitative research which corresponds with the application of Semi-structured interview. In this thesis was used the Secondary Analysis of the data from the interviews with social workers and from added interviews with journalists which have experience, with the publication catching the life of seniors, at their disposal. In order to answer the main Research question, I have used four partial questions focused on cognitive, behavioral and emotional dimensions of attitudes and ethical aspects connected with methods of journalism. This thesis brought many findings which point to many agreements among of social workers such as their mutual effort to publish more matter focused on active enjoyment of old age. They are coincident as well with many of those situations which are not suited for publishing. Or, concerning making of media posts, they reached an agreement on necessity of deal between social worker and journalist. Differences were found in the point of view of providing authorization, usage of terminology related to this topic or in the direct addressing of seniors. Based on findings of this research came into being the collection of advices and recommendations, meant for social workers and as wells as for journalists, which has to help with quality-improvement of mutual co-operation.
