Literal and journalistic perception of the issue of "tournantes" from the sociolinguistic point of view

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis consists of a translation of a part of the novel written by Samira Bellil called Dans l´enfer des tournantes and of a translation of a newspaper-article. These two translations introduce us into the questions of collective-rapes called tournantes in the suburbs of Paris. On the basis of the translations this thesis focuses on the comparison of two linguistic styles – journalistic and documentary. The documentary style is to be found in the novel by Samiry Bellil and shows us some features and specifications of the language of the immigrant-youngsters.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se skládá z překladu části románu Samiry Bellil « Dans l´enfer des tournantes » a překladu novinového článku, které nám blíže představují problematiku hromadných znásilnění na předměstí Paříže. Na základě překladů se práce zaměřuje na porovnání dvou stylů, žurnalistického a dokumentárního. Dokumentární styl najdeme v románu Samiry Bellil, tento styl nám zejména přináší prvky a specifika jazyka přistěhovalecké mládeže.
