Integrace dat kreditního oddělení do podnikové datové architektury

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá rostoucím významem datové architektury v dnešním business prostředí. Analyzuje, jak business pro dosažení svých analytických cílů v oblasti dat musí převzít vlastnictví nad konceptem datové architektury, jejíž definice v současnosti dostatečně neodráží roli businessu při jejím navrhování a implementaci, spíše se zaměřuje na technické aspekty. Tato práce se pokouší propojit IT a business svět a ukazuje, jak iniciativa vedena businessem a chytré využití dostupných technologií mohou změnit způsob, jakým se provádí datová analýza, jak se navrhují řešení BI a jak to ovlivňuje skutečné procesy a výsledky businessu. Propojení daných dvou sfér je prezentováno na skutečném případu kreditního oddělení v rámci velké ropné společnosti, která se vzdaluje jednorázovým BI řešením a integruje svá data do podnikové datové architektury.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the growing importance of data architecture in today’s business environment. The thesis analyses how in order to achieve its data analytical goals, enterprises need to take ownership of the concept of data architecture, on the other hand, today’s definition of data architecture does not reflect sufficiently the business’s role in designing and implementing it, focusing rather on the technical aspects. This thesis tries to bridge between the IT and the business world, showing how business driven initiatives, and smart utilization of available technologies, can change the way data analytics is performed, how BI solutions are designed, and how it impacts real business processes and results. This is done through a focus on a real-world use case of a Credit department within a major oil corporation that moves away from stand-alone BI solutions and integrate its data into the corporate data architecture.
