Tape recorder as a compositional and interpretative instrument

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá manipulací s magnetofonovým pásem v oblasti elektroakustické hudby s přesahem do hudby populární. První část nastiňuje technologicko-historické kontexty magnetického záznamu zvuku. V druhé části se zabývá jednotlivými styly. Jmenovitě konkrétní hudba, elektronická hudba v Německu, USA a Československu. Závěr textu popisuje princip vícestopého nahrávání populární hudby. Časově zasahuje do období padesátých až sedmdesátých let dvacátého století.

Abstract:

The work describes manipulation with recording tape on the field of electro-acousting music overlapping to the popular music. The first part foreshadows technological and historical connections of magnetic record of sound. The second part mentions particular styles. Nominally: musique concrete, electronic music in Germany, the U.S.A. and Czechoslovakia. The principles of multi-track recording are introduced in the end of my work. It includes the time of fifties till seventies of 20th century.
