Online grocery shopping with a focus on Rohlík.cz

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem e-commerce trhu potravin v České republice. Hlavním cílem je zhodnocení současného stavu e-commerce trhu potravin v České republice s primárním zaměřením na leadera segmentu, Rohlík.cz, a definice konkurenčních výhod vnímané jeho zákazníky, které mohou k jeho postavení přispívat. Teoretická část se věnuje definici elektronického obchodování, základním pojmům jako je např. e-business a jeho součástem. Nastiňuje také historický kontext a významné milníky vývoje ve světovém pojetí e-commerce. Následně pojednává o vývoji e-commerce trhu potravin, jeho aktuální podobě v České republice a dopadech pandemie COVID-19 na zmíněnou část trhu. Praktická část je věnována leadrovi současného prodeje potravin online a jeho konkurenci. Prostřednictvím SWOT analýzy jsou definovány silné a slabé stránky obchodníka a následně příležitosti a hrozby. Tyto poznatky jsou propojeny s kvantitativním výzkumem zákaznického vnímání jednotlivých obchodníků a důvodů, které zákazníky k jejich volbě vedou. Výstupem je definice konkurenčních výhod obchodníka Rohlík.cz a zhodnocení aktuální situace segmentu trhu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the development of the online grocery shopping market in the Czech Republic. The main goal is to evaluate the current state of the e-commerce grocery market in the Czech Republic with a primary focus on the leader of the segment, Rohlík.cz, and to define competitive advantagesprecieved by its customers that can contribute to its position. The theoretical part deals with the definition of e-commerce, basic concepts such as e-business and its components. It also outlines the historical context and important milestones of development in the global concept of e-commerce. It deals with the development of e-commerce, its current form in the Czech Republic and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on this market. The practical part is devoted to the current leader of online grocery shopping and its competitors. Through SWOT analysis, the strengths and weaknesses of the merchant are defined, followed by defining the opportunities and threats. These findings are linked to quantitative research of customer perceptions of individual merchants and the reasons that lead customers to their choice. The output is a definition of the competitive advantages of the trader Rohlík.cz and an evaluation of the current situation of the market segment.
