Verbal and non-verbal communication of Czech booktubers

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá verbální a nonverbální komunikací českých BookTuberů. Téma YouTube jsme si vybrali pro jeho rostoucího oblíbenost mezi uživateli internetu. Proto si klademe za cíl zjistit, co je typické pro verbální, a především pro nonverbální komunikace, která je pro BookTubery typická. V teoretické části se zaměřujeme na komunikaci, historii YouTube, verbální a nonverbální komunikaci. V praktické části popisujeme způsob komunikace dvou mluvčích, kteří motivují příjemce k přečtení prezentovaných knih, zejména komunikaci s diváky, řeč těla, pro níž jsou důležitá gesta a mimika a některé zvukové charakteristiky řeči, především využívání pauz a větného přízvuku. Výsledky našeho popisu podle daných kritérií srovnáme s výsledky dotazníku, jimž jsme zjišťovali, jak respondenti hodnotí projev daného mluvčího. V závěru práce pak rozebíráme poznatky, které souvisejí s tvorbou online obsahu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with verbal and nonverbal communication of Czech BookTubers. We chose this YouTube topic because of its growing popularity among internet users. Therefore, we aim to find out what is typical for verbal and especially nonverbal communication, commonly used by BookTubers. In the theoretical part, we focus on communication, the history of YouTube, verbal and nonverbal communication. In the practical part, we describe the method of communication of two speakers who motivate viewers to read the books presented, especially communication with viewers, body language, for which gestures and facial expressions are important, and some sound characteristics of speech, especially the use of pauses and sentence stress. We compare the results of our description according to the given criteria with the results of the questionnaire, which we used to find out how the respondents evaluate the speech of the given speaker. At the end of the work, we analyze our findings related to the creation of online content.
