A Night with Andersen: 10 years of children's reading competence support project

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Noc s Andersenem: 10 let projektu na podporu dětského čtenářství“ se zabývá tématem nejznámějšího a nejrozšířenějšího projektu českých knihoven na podporu dětského čtenářství. Teoretická část uvádí do souvislostí rodinného a školního prostředí pojem čtenářství a dále stručně představuje činnost Klubu dětských knihoven. Stěžejní kapitolu tvoří komplexní informace o projektu Noc s Andersenem. Praktickou část práce tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, ve kterém jsem si jako cíl stanovila odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jaké efekty přináší Noc s Andersenem z pohledu pracovníků knihoven?“ Data, získaná prostřednictvím narativních rozhovorů s knihovnicemi z pěti městských knihoven vymezených výzkumným vzorkem, tedy v analýze interpretuji z netradičního pohledu samotného knihovníka.

Abstract:

The bachelor diploma thesis “A Night with Andersen: 10 years of children's reading competence support project“ deals with the topic of the best known and the most expanded children's reading competence promotion project of Czech libraries. The theoretical part introduces the conception of children's reading competence into connection between family and school surroundings and further represents in brief activities of Children’s library club. Pivotal chapter contains a complex information about the project a Night with Andersen. The practical part of the bachelor diploma thesis is representing by a qualitative research, in which I’m trying to answer at the main research question: “What effects brings a Night with Andersen from a librarians’ point of view?” The data, acquired through narrative interviews with librarians working in five public libraries defined by research sample, are analyzed from untraditional librarians’ point of view.
