Abstract:
Práce pojednává o kognitivní synonymii studované na příkladu tří synonymních sloves: acquire, gain a obtain. Práce se snaží zjistit, jaké rozdíly existují mezi těmito slovesy. Práce porovnává definice sloves ve slovnících anglického jazyka, synonymních slovnících a tesaurusech. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována kolokačním rozdílům (studované za pomocí Britského národního korpusu).Abstract:
The thesis deals with cognitive synonymy studied on the example of three synonymous verbs: acquire, gain and obtain. The main aim is to find what differences there exist between these verbs. It studies and compares the definitions of the verbs in standard dictionaries of the English language, in dictionaries of synonyms and thesauruses.
