Evaluation of cultural and creative hubs activities

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to show the importance and impact of cultural and creative hubs in Brno and Bratislava on the city and regional development through the evaluation and comparison of their activities. In doing so, the thesis approaches the evaluation of activities on two levels. First, it focuses on the services and products offered by these cultural institutions to visitors. It examines not only their offer but also the public's interest in these activities. In addition, the thesis also explores the awareness, behaviour and preferences of visitors of the hubs, and on these basis a number of recommendations for increasing attendance are made. The research further focuses on activities that directly impact local society, culture and economy, assessing the extent of the impact on these areas. Evaluation of the relevance and importance of cultural and creative hubs for the development of the city could lead to greater public interest in these institutions and to improvement of the conditions for their establishment and function.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je prostredníctvom zhodnotenia a porovnania aktivít kultúrnych a kreatívnych hubov v Brne a v Bratislave poukázať na ich význam a vplyv na rozvoj mesta a regiónu. Práca pri tom k hodnoteniu aktivít pristupuje v dvoch rovinách. Najprv sa zameriava na služby a produkty, ktoré môžu tieto kultúrne inštitúcie ponúknuť návštevníkom. Sleduje nielen ich ponuku, ale aj záujem verejnosti o tieto činnosti. Práca okrem toho skúma aj povedomie, správanie a preferencie návštevníkov hubov, a na ich základe vzniká aj niekoľko odporúčaní pre zvýšenie návštevnosti. Výskum práce sa ďalej zameriava na aktivity priamo vplývajúce na lokálnu spoločnosť, kultúru a ekonomiku, pri čom je zhodnotená miera ich dopadu na tieto oblasti. Zhodnotenie významu a dôležitosti kultúrnych a kreatívnych hubov pre rozvoj mesta by mohlo viesť k vyššiemu záujmu verejnosti o tieto inštitúcie a k zlepšeniu podmienok pre ich vznik a fungovanie.
