Dynamic semantic scales in English and Czech texts
Abstract:
Práce zkoumá český a anglický jazyk z pohledu jednoho z faktorů aktuálního větného členění – dynamických sémantických škál. Vybrané anglické a české beletristické texty byly analyzovány, aby se zjistilo, jakým způsobem jsou dynamické sémantické škály převáděny z originálních textů do překladů. Práce se zaměřuje na četnost a strukturu jednotlivých dynamických sémantických škál.
Abstract:
The present study is focused on examining Czech and English from the viewpoint of one part of the theory of Functional Sentence Perspective – dynamic semantic scales. Selected English and Czech fiction texts were analyzed in order to find out the way how the dynamic semantic scales are transferred from original texts to translations.
