Consequences of Population Ageing for Long-term Care Needs in the Administrative District of Municipality with Extended Powers Liberec

Abstract:

Cílem práce je analyzovat důsledky stárnutí populace pro potřeby dlouhodobé péče ve správním obvodu obce s rozšířenou působností Liberec. Nejprve je v práci teoreticky vymezeno stárnutí obyvatelstva v EU, ČR, Libereckém kraji a následně v samotném správním obvodu obce s rozšířenou působností Liberec, kde je samotný správní obvod charakterizován i z demografického hlediska. Další část se věnuje dostupnosti služeb a počtu příjemců příspěvků na péči jak v ČR, Libereckém kraji, tak v SO ORP Liberec. Nejdůležitější část je věnována projekci počtu obyvatel SO ORP Liberec do roku 2050. Na základě této projekce a již vytvořené projekce pro Liberecký kraj je podle dvou scénářů vypočítán předpokládaný počet příjemců příspěvků na péči v Libereckém kraji a ve SO ORP Liberec do roku 2035. Poslední, závěrečná část, je věnována kapacitě služeb dlouhodobé péče a zdůraznění nepřipravenosti na stárnutí obyvatelstva.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to analyse the consequences of population ageing for long-term care needs in the administrative district of municipality with extended powers Liberec. At first, there is theoretically defined the ageing of the population in the EU, in the Czech Republic, in the Liberec Region and subsequently in the administrative district of municipality with extended powers Liberec, where is the administrative district itself characterized also from the demographic point of view. The next part deals with the availability of services and the number of recipients of care allowance in the Czech Republic, the Liberec Region and the SO ORP Liberec. The most important part is dedicated to a projection of the population of SO ORP Liberec up to 2050, and based on this projection and the already created projection for the Liberec Region is according to two scenarios counted the expected number of recipients of care allowance in the Liberec Region and in the SO ORP Liberec up to 2035. Last part is dedicated to the capacity of long-term care services and to emphasis on the unpreparedness for the ageing population.
