Communication between deaf parents and their hearing children

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je komunikace neslyšících rodičů s jejich slyšícími dětmi. V teoretické části vymezíme pojem komunikace, nastíníme vývoj sluchu a řeči, zmíníme možné sluchové vady a poruchy. Představíme komunitu neslyšících jako kulturní a jazykovou menšinu, včetně komunikačních systémů, kterými neslyšící komunikují. Tyto systémy jsou uvedeny v Zákoně o komunikačních systémech neslyšících a hluchoslepých osob. Dále seznámíme se specifiky slyšících dětí neslyšících rodičů, se způsoby komunikace v těchto rodinách a také s nabídkou služeb pro tyto rodiny. V praktické části se zaměříme na analýzu aspektů soužití těchto rodin, rozdílnost kultur neslyšících a slyšících lidí, na vývoj dětí z těchto rodin a na využívání služeb pro tyto rodiny. Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza specifik komunikace vybraných rodin, kde jsou neslyšící rodiče se slyšícími dětmi. Naším záměrem je zjistit, jakým komunikačním způsobem spolu v těchto rodinách komunikují a jaký vliv má na dítě prostředí, ve kterém vyrůstá.

Abstract:

The theme of this bachelor work is communication of deaf parents with their hearing children. In the theoretical part we will define the concept of communication, outline the development of hearing and speech and mention possible hearing defects and disorders. We will present the deaf community as a cultural and linguistic minority, including the communication systems deaf people use to communicate. These systems are listed in the Law on Communication Systems of Deaf and Deaf Blind Persons. We will also get acquainted with the specifics of deaf parents' children, the ways of communication in these families and also the offer of services for these families. In the practical part, we will focus on the analysis of aspects of coexistence of these families, the different cultures of deaf and hearing people, the development of children from these families and the offer of services for these families. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the specifics of communication in selected families, where there are deaf parents and their hearing children. Our intention is to find out how they communicate with each other in these families and how the children are affected by the environment in which they grow up.
