Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Učitelé a peníze se zabývá otázkou, jaké postoje a názory učitelé zaujímají vůči svému finančnímu ohodnocení. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. Nejprve se soustřeďuji na vymezení teorie, kterou považuji za potřebnou k lepšímu porozumění danému tématu. Popisuji zde, co je náplní práce učitele, pokouším se uvést jak je to s vnímáním učitelství jako profese a s prestiží učitelského povolání z pohledu učitelů samých a jejich ředitelů. Na základě odborné literatury předkládám hlavní klady a zápory tohoto povolání. Následně se v této části věnuji samotnému odměňování (tedy základním principům odměňování, subjektům, jež stanovují plat učitele, výši platu učitele a mezinárodnímu srovnání platu učitelů). Druhá část práce je zaměřena na popis metodologie kvalitativního výzkumu. Realizovaný výzkum byl zaměřen na názory a postoje, které učitelé vůči finančnímu ohodnocení zaujímají a na zjištění důvodů, proč tomu tak je. Postupně se zabývám otázkou potřeby vyššího výdělku, úměrností platu a náplně práce, vnímáním benefitů v jejich povolání a otázkou společenského diskursu. Zajímá mne i finanční motivace učitelů, odměňování učitelů a jejich případné zvažování změny profese. V neposlední řadě pak prezentuji představu učitelů o ideálním ohodnocení a pracovních podmínkách. Také uvádím názory jejich ředitelů na tutéž problematiku.

Abstract:

This thesis, titled „Teachers and money“, asks after the opinions and attitudes of teachers towards their remuneration. It is divided into three parts, the first of which focuses on outlining the theoretical background necessary to better understand the topic. There I describe what the teacher’s work consists of and attempt to show how teachers and principals perceive their profession and its social status. I also describe the main pluses and minuses of being a teacher. This part then also describes the remuneration itself (that is, the basic principles of remuneration and the reward system in Czech education, the entities responsible for setting its level and international comparison). The second part of the thesis describes the methodology of a qualitative research which was then carried out. It focused on opinions and attitudes of teachers towards their financial reward and ascertained the reasons of said attitudes. Questions of higher remuneration, proportionality of reward to the job’s nature, perceptions of benefits in this profession as well as the social discourse are considered. I also consider financial incentives, the level of remuneration and whether the teachers are considering a change of profession. I also demonstrate what teachers themselves would consider optimal, both in terms of working conditions and financial reward.
