The present work focuses on the texts by Jiří Gruša, which he wrote in two language versions. The focus is on Gruša's essay writing. The aim is to document the process of creation, the chronology, the mutual influence of the versions in both languages, their differences and the reasons that led to these differences. Hlavním tématem disertační práce jsou literární texty Jiřího Gruši, které vytvořil ve dvou jazykových verzích. Těžiště přitom tvoří autorova esejistika. Cílem práce je zdokumentovat proces vzniku, chronologii, vzájemné ovlivňování obou jazykových verzí, jejich odlišnosti a důvody, které k těmto odlišnostem vedly.
