This bachelor thesis analyzes the language of online hotel reviews, primarily the strategies used in expressing compliments and complaints. The reviews are analyzed in terms of Brown and Levinson's politeness theory. The first chapter introduces the politeness theory and the four politeness superstrategies. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá jazykovými prvky použitými v online hotelových recenzích, především strategiemi použitými pro vyjadřování spokojenosti a nespokojenosti. Recenze analyzuje podle teorie zdvořilosti Brownové a Levinsona. První kapitola se zabývá samotnou teorii zdvořilosti a vysvětluje základní strategie.
