Rewards, punishments and motivation of children with autism spectrum disorder

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se bude zabývat odměnami, tresty a motivací u specifické skupiny dětí předškolního věku s diagnózou poruchy autistického spektra. Bude rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zaměří obecně na odměny, tresty a motivaci ve výchovně vzdělávacím procesu, dále vysvětlí specifické přístupy v oblasti odměn, trestů a motivace u dětí s poruchou autistického spektra. V praktické části bude realizován kvalitativní výzkum, kde se prostřednictvím metody analýzy dokumentů a rozhovorů s rodiči, pedagogickými a dalšími participujícími pracovníky soustředíme na popis specifik odměn, trestů a motivace u dětí s poruchou autistického spektra. Součástí praktické části bude také konkrétní případová studie. Hlavním cílem práce je zmapovat a popsat využití odměn, trestů a motivace při práci s dětmi s poruchou autistického spektra.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis will deal with rewards, punishments and motivation for a specific group of preschool children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. It will be divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part will generally focus on rewards, punishments and motivation in the educational process, and will further explain specific approaches in the field of rewards, punishments and motivation for children with autism spectrum disorders. In the practical part, qualitative research will be carried out, where, through the method of document analysis and interviews with parents, pedagogues and other participating workers, we will focus on describing the specifics of rewards, punishments and motivation for children with autism spectrum disorder. A specific case study will also be part of the practical part. The main goal of the work is to map and describe the use of rewards, punishments and motivation when working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
