Diplomová práce se zabývá definováním konceptu prerafaelitské ženy, dále zmapováním prostředí, ze kterého vzešel, a také zjištěním toho, jak se vnímání konceptu změnilo v literatuře. Pozornost je věnována postavení žen jednak v rámci viktoriánské Anglie, ale hlavně v rámci Bratrstva prerafaelitů. Důležitou roli pro definování konceptu hraje filozofie D. G. This diploma thesis deals with the concept of Pre-Raphaelite Woman and its definition. Further, it closely examines the environment from which the concept has emerged, and it also tries to find out how the perception of this concept has changed in literature.
