Stress situations in the school environment of one selected high school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce byla zaměřena na problematiku školní zátěže v podmínkách konkrétní střední školy. Jejím hlavním cílem bylo specifikovat základní faktory školní zátěže žáků konkrétní střední školy. Tato práce byla rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části byl definován dospívající žák, charakterizována školní zátěž, vztah mezi učitelem a žákem, školní klasifikace, podmínky učebního procesu a interpersonální vztahy. Metodou zpracování v teoretické části byla především analýza, syntéza a komparace dostupných odborných zdrojů. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit intenzitu a častost školní zátěže u popisů možných zátěžových situací, do kterých se žáci středních škol mohou v průběhu jejich vzdělávání dostat. K tomu sloužil kvantitativní průzkum, a to prostřednictvím metody dotazování, techniky dotazníku. Ten byl koncipován v souladu s dotazníkem autorky E. Urbanovské (2010). Jednalo se o dotazník, sestávající se ze 40 položek s využitím škálového hodnocení. Žáci nabídnutý dotazník vyplňovali dvakrát, poprvé se zaměřením na častost výskytu školní zátěže a podruhé se zaměřením na intenzitu zátěže. Respondenty byli žáci učebních i studijních oborů. Školní zátěž byla sledována s ohledem na typ oboru a pohlaví respondentů. Pro vyhodnocení získaných dat byly využity metody popisné statistiky (aritmetický průměr, modus, medián). Na základě zjištěných údajů byla formulována konkrétní doporučení pro pedagogickou praxi sledované školy.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis focuses on stress situations in the school environment of one selected high school. The main goal is to specify the essential stress situations‘s factors of the students from one particular high school. The text is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical. The theoretical one includes definition of adolescent student, stress situations in the school environment, relationships between teachers and students, grading system, conditions of the learning process, and interpersonal relationships. The method used in the theoretical part is mostly analysis, synthesis, and comparison of available literature sources. The practical part aims to find intensity and frequency of the stress in described situations, which students of the high school might experience during their education. This was measured by quantitative research via questionnaire method, the questionnaire technique. It was based on the questionnaire of E. Urbanovska (2010), and contained 40 questions using a scale of choice system. Students were requested to fill in the questionnaire twice. The first time, the questionnaire was focused on how often the stress situation occurs, and the second time, on the intensity of the stress situations. The respondents were students from the apprenticeship program and students studying towards the ´maturita´ exam. The stress situations were monitored separately for each field, and gender of the respondents. The data were analysed by using methods of descriptive statistics (arithmetic mean, modus, median). Recommendations based on the results of the study were formulated and offered to the pedagogic practice of the monitored schools.
