Humanistic majuscule and minuscule / Creation of a typeface on the basis of its reconstruction
Abstract:
Cílem práce je vytvoření originálního písma (humanistické majuskule a minuskule) na základě rekonstrukce z historických podkladů z 16. století z rukopisu Liber horarum a jeho převedení do písmového souboru – fontu. Dále se práce bude zabývat problematikou zobrazování písma na webových stránkách - standardními webovými písmy a možnostmi jak zobrazovat i nestandardní písma.
Abstract:
The main aim of the thesis has been to create an original typeface on the basis of its reconstruction from historical source materials from 16th century, and to transfer it into a standard typal file – a font. The thesis also deals with the problems of displaying the typeface on websites, and the possibilities of displaying non-standard typefaces.
