Quality of life of seniors with ischemic heart disease

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak hodnotí kvalitu života senioři s ischemickou chorobou srdeční v jednotlivých doménách. Dále pak zjistit rozdíly v hodnocení kvality života v závislosti na pohlaví, věku, rodinném zázemí či dosaženém vzdělání. Metodika: Výzkum probíhal formou anonymního dotazníkového šetření pomocí dotazníků Světové zdravotnické organizace WHOQOL - OLD a WHOQOL - BREF, které byly rozšířeny o dotazník vlastní tvorby zjišťující demografická data respondentů. Soubor tvořilo 115 seniorů s ischemickou chorobou srdeční, sběr dat probíhal v období duben - listopad 2020. Výsledky: Většina domén dotazníků je hodnocena téměř shodně v porovnání s výsledky běžné populace. Statisticky významně vyšší hodnocení kvality života bylo zjištěno u mužů, seniorů s životním partnerem, u seniorů sdílející domácnost s další osobou či osobami a u respondentů s vyšším dosaženým vzděláním. Závěr: Vliv na kvalitu života seniorů má mnoho aspektů. Jsou mezi nimi jak ovlivnitelné, tak neovlivnitelné faktory. Nejen zdravotničtí pracovníci a rodinní příslušníci, ale také sami senioři by se měli zaměřit na ovlivnitelné faktory, což může vést k pozitivnějšímu hodnocení kvality života. Abstract:

Aim: The aim of this thesis is to research how is the quality of life evaluated by senior patients with ischemic heart disease in particular domains. Further to analyze the differences between the evaluations of the quality of life in relation to gender, age, family situation and reached a level of education Methods: The research data has been gathered by anonymous questionnaire survey assessment provided by WHOQOL - OLD and WHOQOL - BREF together with the researchers self-administered questionnaire survey with additional scope focusing on participant's demographic data. The population sample consisted of 115 senior patients with ischemic heart disease and the data gathering took place between April to November 2020. Results: The majority of the domains have been evaluated nearly identically in comparison to the results of the general population. The results showed higher numbers for male respondents, seniors living with a spouse, seniors sharing the household with another person, and persons with a higher level of education. Conclusion: The quality of seniors' life has been determined by aspects. Some of them might be influences, some of them not. The medical personal, family members, as well as seniors themselves, should focus on the influencing factors, which might lead to a more positive view of the quality of life.
