Approaches to curriculum development at Universities of the Third age

Abstract:

Téma bakalářské diplomové práce se zabývá přístupy k tvorbě kurikula na univerzitách třetího věku. Specificky se zaměřuji na otázku, jakým způsobem probíhá tvorba kurikula na univerzitách třetího věku, jakými procesy, na jakých úrovních a jakými vlivy a faktory jsou tyto procesy ovlivňovány. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením termínu kurikulum, jeho teoretickými přístupy, formami a rovinami a obecnými úrovněmi tvorby kurikula. Na tyto kapitoly navazuje úroveň věnující se univerzitám třetího věku a to jak z pohledu organizace, tak, průběhu výuky. Závěr teoretické části se zabývá tvorbou kurikula v neformálním vzdělávání se zaměřením na univerzity třetího věku a závěrečnému shrnutí teoretické části. Empirická část představuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu, který detailně popisuje procesy tvorby kurikula na univerzitách třetího věku, jehož výsledky přináším v závěru práce.

Abstract:

The theme of my bachelor diploma thesis occupies with access to curriculum development at the Universities of the Third Age. I specifically focus on the question, which way does curriculum development works, on which level and which impacts and factors are those processes influenced. The theoretic part deal with specification of term curriculum, its theoretic accesses, forms and levels, and general levels of curriculum development. These chapters connect the level which deals with the University of the Third Age from the organization view but also from the teaching view. The conclusion of the theoretic part deals with making curriculum in informal education with specialization of the University of the Third Age and with the final summary of the theoretic part. The empiric part introduces the results of qualitative research which describes processes of curriculum development at Universities of the Third Age in detail whose results I at the end of my work.
