The Impact of Helping Workers Interventions on Social Functioning of Halfway House Clients

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou intervencí pomáhajících pracovníků užívaných v Domě na půl cesty a jejich vlivem na sociálnífungováníklientů Domu na půl cesty. Jejím cílem je zodpovědět hlavnívýzkumnouotázku: Jak intervence pomáhajících pracovníků v rámci poskytované službydům na půl cesty ovlivnily sociální fungování klientů Domu napůl cestypodle klientů a pomáhajících pracovníků? Teoretická část práce se zabývá konceptualizací pojmů obsaženýchv hlavnívýzkumné otázce. V empirické části je popisována strategievýzkumu,analyzována získaná data a prostřednictvím dílčích výzkumnýchotázek zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka. V závěru práce jsou nastíněna doporučení pro další výzkum.

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis focuses on the dilemma of helping workers' interventions used in the Halfway House and explores their influenceon social functioning of the Halfway House clients. The thesis aims to answer the main research question: How did the helping workers'interventions influence the social functioning of the Halfway house clients according to the helping workers and the clients themselves? The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a conceptualization of terms contained in the main research question. In the empirical part of the thesis, there is a description of the research strategy,an analysis of obtained data and through the use of the partial research questions the main research question is answered. The recommendations for further research are outlined in the conclusionof the thesis.
