Abstract:

Práce se zabývá postojem pomáhajících pracovníků k využití konceptu bazální stimulace a metody Snoezelen při práci s klienty s těžkou a hlubokou mentální retardací. Konkrétně se jedná o sociální pracovníky, zdravotní pracovníky a pracovníky v sociálních službách. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy práce, tedy mentální retardace, sociální práce s mentálně postiženými klienty, koncept bazální stimulace, metoda Snoezelen a postoj. Empirická část práce si klade za cíl zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku, která zní: Jaký postoj zaujímají pomáhající pracovníci k využití konceptu bazální stimulace při práci s klienty s těžkou a hlubokou mentální retardací? Autorka využila kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii a data získala prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s jednotlivými pomáhajícími pracovníky domovů pro osoby se zdravotním postižením. V závěru práce je zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka a jsou uvedena doporučení pro praxi a návrhy dalších výzkumů.

Abstract:

This thesis examines the attitude of helping care workers towards the use of the basal stimulation concept and Snoezelen method in work with the clients with severe and profound mental retardation. The research sample includes social workers, medical workers and social service workers. The theoretical part defines the basic terms of this thesis – mental retardation, social work with the people with mental disabilities, basal stimulation concept, Snoezelen and attitude. The empirical part aims to answer the main research question: What is the attitude of the helping care workers towards the use of the basal stimulation concept in work with the clients with severe and profound mental retardation? The author used qualitative research method and data were collected by the method of semi-structured interviews with the helping care workers in the nursing homes for people with health disabilities. In the final part of thesis the main research question is answered and there are also offered recommendations for practice and proposals for further research.
