Methods and strategies for supporting education of reading and writing beginning for socially disadvantaged pupils

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na výuku prvopočátečního čtení a psaní u žáků se sociálním znevýhodněním. Teoretická část práce představuje několik používaných metod ve výuce čtení a psaní. Druhá kapitola teoretické části se zaměřuje na vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, konkrétně pak na žáky se sociálním znevýhodněním. Vysvětluje také pojem „žák se sociálním znevýhodněním“ nejen v kontextu legislativy. Praktická část je věnovaná výzkumnému šetření, které má za cíl zjistit, jak vybraní učitelé v 1. a 2. ročníku ZŠ pracují s žáky se sociálním znevýhodněním při výuce prvopočátečního čtení a psaní. Konkrétně pak, jaké metody a strategie k tomu volí, a kam se obrací o pomoc a radu, když mají takového žáka ve třídě a musí zabezpečit jeho výuku čtení a psaní.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on teaching elementary reading and writing to socially disadvantaged pupils. The theoretical part of the work presents several methods used in teaching reading and writing. The second chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the education of pupils with special educational needs, specifically pupils with social disadvantages. It also explains the term "pupil with a social disadvantage" not only in the context of legislation. The practical part is devoted to a research investigation, which aims to find out how selected teachers in the 1st and 2nd year of elementary school work with socially disadvantaged pupils in teaching initial reading and writing. Specifically, what methods and strategies do they choose for this, and where do they turn for help and advice when they have such a pupil in their class and have to develop his reading and writing education.
