Comparison of Differences in British and American English in Journalism
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá rozdíly mezi britskou a americkou angličtinou v novinových článcích. V teoretické části jsou představeny nejčastější rozdíly ve slovní zásobě, pravopise, výslovnosti a gramatice. V praktické části jsou vypsány a analyzovány jednotlivé rozdíly, které byly nalezeny v britských a amerických novinách.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with differences between British and American English in journalism. The theoretical part includes differences in vocabulary, spelling, phonology and grammar. The practical part is an analysis of found individual items of disparity in use of British and American English in newspapers.
