Depiction of Intergenerational Family Relationships in Literature for Children and Youth and the Use of Selected Titles in Teaching

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je prohloubit mezigenerační vztah mezi vnoučaty a jejich prarodiči na základě informací získaných z teoretické části, ale především pak díky přípravám vyučovacích hodin, které vznikly na základě analýz a interpretací vybraných knih zachycující téma této práce. Teoretická část je věnována pojmům, jako je rodinná solidarita a její aspekty, funkce zdravě fungující rodiny, vývoj instituce rodiny od počátku lidstva až po současnost a poslední kapitola je pak věnována vývoji pojmu prarodičovství zhruba od 16. století, dále vlivům, které na tuto roli působí a typologii dnešních prarodičů. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu a interpretaci námi zvoleného výchozího díla Babička od Boženy Němcové, jelikož postava babičky je i v podmínkách české země nadále vnímána jako prototyp ideálního prarodiče. Následující analýzy a interpretace se týkají děl pocházejících již z produkce tohoto milénia. Jedná se o Dopisy Samovi od Daniela Gottlieba, Lentilka pro dědu Edu od Ivony Březinové a Dědeček v růžových kalhotách od Lucie Hášové Truhelkové. Poznatky z těchto analýz a interpretací se pak staly podkladem pro vytvoření příprav do vyučovacích hodin, z nichž většina byla realizována. Diplomová práce obsahuje rovněž i reflexi aplikovaných příprav spolu s doporučeními na jejich vylepšení.

Abstract:

The aim of this master thesis is to deepen the intergenerational relationship between grandchildren and their grandparents. It should be reached by the information obtained from the theoretical part, but especially through the preparation of lessons based on the analysis and interpretation of the selected books depicting the topic of this thesis. The theoretical part focuses on concepts, such as family solidarity and its aspects, the functions of a healthy family or the development of the institution of the family from the beginning of mankind to the present day. The last chapter is devoted to the development of the concept of grandparenthood since the 16th century, the influence that affect its role, and the typology of today's grandparents. The practical part is focused on the analysis and interpretation of the work Babička (Grandmother) by Božena Němcová, since the character of the grandmother is still perceived as the prototype of the ideal grandparent in the Czech Republic. The following analyses and interpretations concern works from this millennium. They include Letters to Sam by Daniel Gottlieb, Lentilka pro dědu Edu by Ivona Březinová and Dědeček v růžových kalhotách by Lucie Hášová Truhelková. The findings from these analyses and interpretations became the basis for the preparations of lessons most of which were used. This thesis also contains the reflection on the applied lesson preparations together with recommendations for their improvement.
