Abbreviations of the names of current political parties and movements in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá klasifikací zkratek názvů současných politických stran a hnutí, které kandidovaly ve volbách do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky 8. a 9. října 2021. Teoretická část pojednává o stranickém systému před vznikem i po vzniku samostatné České republiky, zahrnuje právní systém voleb do Poslanecké sněmovny a Senátu Parlamentu České republiky. Výklady se zabývají zkracováním slov a problematikou dosavadního klasifikačního systému zkratek, který nelze plně aplikovat na novější zkratky. Praktická část je zaměřena na klasifikaci zkratek názvů současných politických subjektů podle kritérií zohledňujících hybridní číslicově-písmenný charakter.

Abstract:

The barchelor's thesis inquires into the classification of the abbreviations of names of the current political units, which ran in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic on October 8 and 9, 2021. The theoretical part discusses the party system before and after the establishment of the independent Czech Republic, includes the legal system of elections to the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The explications deal with the shortening of words and the issue of the current classification system of abbreviations, which cannot be applied to new abbreviations. The practical part is focused on the classification of abbreviations of the names of current political entities according to criteria, that allows for the hybrid numerical-letter character.
