Optimization of the capital structure among selected companies engaged in the production of chocolate and confectionery

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je na základě posouzení finančního zdraví vybraných podniků zabývajících se výrobou čokolády a cukrovinek navrhnout řešení vedoucí k optimalizaci kapitálové struktury. Práce je tvořena teoretickou a praktickou částí. Nejdříve jsou v práci představeny pojmy jako kapitálová struktura a její optimalizace, blíže jsou specifikovány jednotlivé poměrové ukazatele finanční analýzy, pomocí kterých je následně stanovena odpovídající výše zadlužení a zároveň jsou také vysvětleny náklady na vlastní a cizí kapitál. Praktická část práce se již věnuje vybraným společnostem, zejména analýze jejich majetkové a kapitálové struktury a na závěr jsou pro každou společnost navrženy scénáře možného dalšího zadlužení.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to present a solution leading to the optimization of the capital structure based on the assessment of the financial health of selected companies engaged in the production of chocolate and confectionery. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. First, concepts such as capital structure and its optimization are introduced in the work, individual ratio indicators of financial analysis are specified in more detail, with the help of which the corresponding amount of indebtedness is subsequently determined, and at the same time the costs of own and external capital are also explained. The practical part of the work is already devoted to the selected companies, especially the analysis of their property and capital structure, and at the end, scenarios of possible further indebtedness are proposed for each company.
