Minimalism as a new lifestyle

Abstract:

The diploma’s thesis focuses on better understanding of the growing popularity of minimalism and its benefits for certain social groups. Application of minimalism to the personal life of the author and analysis of its potentially positive profitability. The theoretical part is based primarily on the study of professional publications which are related to minimalism. The practical part of this work formulates the research itself and its results. This part is also the output of autoethnography and analysis of the potential positive profitability of minimalism for the author's life. The benefits of the work is better understanding of the growing popularity of minimalism and its benefit for certain social groups.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce je pochopenie dôvodov zmeny konzumného spôsobu života a objasnenie interakcie jednotlivcov v rámci skupiny žijúcej na základe hodnôt minimalizmu. Aplikácia minimalizmu do osobného života autorky a analýza jeho potenciálne kladného prínosu. Teoretická časť je založená predovšetkým na štúdiu odborných prameňov týkajúcich sa popisovanej tematiky. V praktickej časti tejto práce je formulovaný samotný výskum a jeho výsledky. Obsahom tejto časti je rovnako výstup z autoetnografie a analýza potenciálne kladného prínosu minimalizmu do autorkinho života. Prínosom práce je dokonalejšie pochopenie rastúcej popularity minimalizmu a jeho prínosu pre určité sociálne skupiny.
