A feature film as intangible investment from the point of view of the accounting of the production entity - a limited liability company

Abstract:

Práca analyzuje problematiku filmu z pohľadu nehmotnej investície, ktorou sa film stáva v priebehu výroby, dokončenia a jeho následnej exploatácie. Z pohľadu nezávislých produkčných spoločností, ktoré sú najčastejšie v právnej forme s.r.o. ide o relevantnú vec pri zhodnotení vlastného majetku a zároveň dôležitú i z uhla legislatívneho uchopenia, či práce s hodnotami aktív. Témou práce je zamerať sa na súčasný výklad zákona (najmä daní) z pohľadu legislatívnych pravidiel v SR a aktuálnych štandardných postupov pri práci s filmovým dielom v rámci spracovania účtovníctva a otvoriť otázku nedostatočného vzdelávania budúcich filmových profesionálov a upriamiť pozornosť na dodnes zákonne neprítomné metodické usmernenie.

Abstract:

The work analyzes the issue of the film from the point of view of the intangible investment that the film becomes in the course of production, completion and its subsequent exploitation. From the point of view of independent production companies, which are most often in the legal form s.r.o. it is a relevant matter in the evaluation of one's own property, and at the same time important from the point of view of legislative understanding, or work with asset values. The topic of the thesis is to focus on the current interpretation of the law (especially taxes) from the perspective of legislative rules in the Slovak Republic and current standard procedures when working with a film work as part of accounting processing, and to open the issue of insufficient education of future film professionals and to draw attention to the still legally absent methodological guidance.
