Nutrition of draft horses

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výživou tažných koní. Cílem bylo čtenáře navést k lepšímu chápání výživy tažných koní. Je důležité, pochopit nároky těžce pracujících koní na kvalitní a plnohodnotnou stravu, která napomáhá udržovat stálou zásobu energie nejen pro záchovu koně, ale především pro vykonávanou práci. V literární rešerši jsem se zabývala základními poznatky o výživě tažných koní a jejich přesnými specifiky. V rámci bakalářské práce byl proveden přepočet krmných dávek u čtyř koní s různou fyzickou zátěží. Prvním koněm pro přepočet jeho krmné dávky byla klisna (750 kg), která neměla žádnou fyzickou zátěž. Pro druhý výpočet krmné dávky byl vybrán valach (700 kg) s lehkou fyzickou zátěží. Třetím koněm pro výpočet krmné dávky byl vybrán valach (800 kg) se střední fyzickou zátěží a čtvrtým koněm pro výpočet krmné dávky byl vybrán valach (1000 kg) s velkou fyzickou zátěží. Z výsledků krmných dávek vyplynulo, že kůň, který byl bez zátěže a s lehkou zátěží měli přebytek přijaté energie. Kůň, který byl ve střední fyzické zátěži a ve velké fyzické zátěži, měl přijaté energie nedostatek.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the nutrition of draft horses. The aim was to guide the reader to a better understanding of the nutrition of draft horses. It is important to understand the requirements of hardworking horses for high-quality and complete food, which helps to maintain a constant supply of energy not only for the preservation of the horse, but above all for the work performed. In the literature search, I dealt with basic knowledge about the nutrition of draft horses and their exact specifics. As part of the bachelor thesis, feed rations were recalculated for four horses with different physical loads. The first horse to recalculate his feed ration was a mare (750 kg), which had no physical load. A gelding (700 kg) with a light physical load was selected for the second feed ration calculation. A gelding (800 kg) with a moderate physical load was selected as the third horse for the calculation of the feed ration, and a gelding (1000 kg) with a heavy physical load was selected for the fourth horse for the calculation of the feed ration. From the results of feed rations, it emerged that the horse that was without load and with a light load had an excess of received energy. A horse that was under medium physical load and under heavy physical load had a lack of energy intake.
