Social life of the Greeks of Brno
Abstract:
Diplomová práce popisuje možnosti společenského života brněnských Řeků uvnitř samotné komunity a také činnosti řeckých organizací ve zkoumané lokalitě. V práci se dále zabývám problematikou etnické identity u respondentů řeckého původu. Téma etnické identity úzce souvisí s otázkou, zda se řecká menšina v Brně integrovala nebo asimilovala.
Abstract:
The Master’s thesis describes the possibilities of social live of Brno Greeks inside theirs community and also the activities of Greek organisations in the surveyed area. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the issue of ethnic identity as concerns the Greek respondents. Subject of ethnic identity is closely related to the question whether the Greek minority in Brno has integrated or assimilated.
