The sharing economy within the transportation industry

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je sdílená ekonomika v dopravě. Sdílená ekonomika představuje ekonomický model, který je založen na sdílení dostatečně nevyužívaných aktiv. Hlavním cílem práce je charakterizovat koncept a modely sdílené ekonomiky, představit a porovnat sdílené dopravní služby v Praze a rozebrat vztah studentů českých vysokých škol ke sdílené ekonomice v dopravě. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou nejprve vymezeny klíčové pojmy související s prací. Dále je zde popsána sdílená ekonomika (definice, historický kontext, vystupující subjekty, příklady trhů, regulační a daňová problematika, a hlavní výhody / nevýhody). Třetí metodologická část je věnována sdílené ekonomice pouze v dopravním sektoru. Praktická část se zabývá vlastním výzkumem, který byl proveden formou dotazníkového šetření na skupině studentů českých vysokých škol.

Abstract:

The topic of this Master's thesis is the concept of the sharing economy within the transportation industry. The sharing economy is the economic model based on the sharing of idle assets among consumers. The main objective of the Thesis is to characterize the concept and models of the sharing economy, introduce and compare shared transportation services in Prague, and interpret the attitude of Czech college students towards the sharing economy in transportation. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part defines key concepts that are related to this thesis. It also describes the concept of the sharing economy (definitions, historical context, performers, market examples, regulatory and tax issues, and main advantages / disadvantages). The third methodological part is devoted to the sharing economy only in the transportation sector. The practical part deals with its own research, which was carried out in a form of a questionnaire survey given to a group of Czech college students.
