Abstract:

Cílem práce je poskytnout detailní přehled o současném postavení čínských nadnárodních korporací ve světové ekonomice. Práce se zabývá čínskými nadnárodními korporacemi od jejich vzniku na počátku ekonomických reforem až po dnešní dobu. První kapitola analyzuje proměnlivý postoj centrální vlády k aktivitám čínských nadnárodních korporací a institucionální ošetření jejich působnosti. Popisuje problémy se statistickým sledováním investic a určením jejich teritoriálních destinací a pojednává o současném postavení čínských nadnárodních korporací ve světové ekonomice v komparaci se zahraničními společnostmi podobného typu. Druhá kapitola se zabývá působení čínských nadnárodních korporací ve světě a zkoumá je z hlediska jejich motivace pro vstup na zahraniční trhy a způsobu vstupu na tyto trhy. Zmíněna jsou konkrétní teritoria, kam čínské nadnárodní firmy směřují své aktivity spolu s objemem realizovaných investic. Vyjmenovány jsou také nejvýznamnější zahraniční projekty čínských nadnárodních korporací. Třetí kapitola poskytuje hlubší analýzu provedenou na příkladu konkrétních firem, které již dosáhly v mezinárodním konkurenčním prostředí určitého stupně úspěchu.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to give a detailed report of the current situation of Chinese multinationals. The thesis addresses the subject of Chinese multinational corporations from their early beginnings dating to the economic reforms of 1978 up to the present time. In the first chapter the gradually changing stance of the central government towards the activities of its multinational corporations and the related implemented policies are analyzed. The description and explanation of the difficulties associated with the interpretation of the statistical data pertaining to the assessment of the territories of destination is also given. Furthermore, this chapter compares Chinese multinationals to their foreign competition and points out the strengths and weaknesses of Chinese multinationals. The second chapter describes the activities of Chinese multinational corporations abroad and studies their motivation to enter foreign countries along with the mode of entry employed. Specific countries and the amounts invested are ascertained along with concrete significant investment projects. In the third and last chapter an in-depth analysis of three companies that have already enjoyed a certain degree of success worldwide is carried out.
