Geography of prostitution: comparison of Karviná and Havířov

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnuji analýze rozmístění prostituce a jejím zákonitostem na příkladu měst Karviné a Havířova. V první teoretické části se věnuji vysvětlení pojmu prostituce, typologii prostituce legislativním opatřením a stručné charakteristice Karviné a Havířova. V empirické části je detailně zpracována databáze prostituce na území měst Karviné a Havířova a dle těchto údajů je zpracována mapa s aktuálním rozmístěním prostituce na území měst Karviná a Havířova. V závěru této práce je vysvětleno rozmístění prostituce ve výše uvedených městech a porovnání jejich výsledků z empirické části s teoretickou částí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the prostitution and its principles of localisation on the case of cities Karviná and Havířov. Prostitution is a socio-pathological phenomenon which we can encounter in larger cities almost every day. The theoretical section deals with the explanation of the term "prostitution", typology of prostitution, legislative measures and a brief description of cities Karviná and Havířov. The empirical part includes a detailed database of prostitution in the cities of Karviná and Havířov, and it also includes a map with the current deployment of prostituton in the cities mentioned before according to collected data. The conclusion of this thesis explains localisation of prostitution in the aforementioned cities, and compares the results of empirical part with the theoretical part.
